It was just me and my apprentice in the shop. Customers were few the last couple of weeks which I may say, was a bit boring. Even with the increased holiday hustle and bustle on Fluxiara Lane, and our redesigned window display, no one was buying their Cryst Powder or Nutter Root at the Dragonhide Apothecary. Not sure why. Even with JuJu Tincture on sale, the foot traffic was sparse.
Maybe that new Hexes & Jinxes app everyone was talking about in the online message boards were stealing my customers. With their rock-bottom prices on black market herbs, spells, and god only knows what from the outer reaches of Argent, the postal service was doing a booming business. Me, I prefer the old tried and true. But I must admit, buying online has its appeal. Even I downloaded the app in my boredom, but I had my pride. I would not patronize those scallywags.
